Misaki Kinoshita-Ise

Misaki Kinoshita-Ise, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified dermatologist at Kyorin University, Tokyo, Japan and clinical fellow in Department of Dermatology at University of Toronto. She graduated and received her PhD from Keio University. Her recent clinical interests include the establishment of diagnostic methodology of hair disorders. During clinical work at Keio University, she developed novel imaging analysis techniques and identified the factors contributing to phenotypic diversities in the patient with autosomal recessive woolly hair/hypotrichosis (ARWH/H). She has also been engaged in basic research related to hair regeneration focusing on epidermal-mesenchymal interactions and the role of human hair follicle fibroblasts.
