Dimitrios Ioannides

I graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greek State Honorary was conferred for my performane of the five out of six years of studies), where I completed my Doctoral Dissertation (Magna cum Laude) entitled: “Experimental study on the morphology and permeability of the skin following application of a suspension of carbon particles.” I concluded my residency in Dermatology – Venereology at the Department of Dermatology-Venereology of the Aristotle University Medical School in the Hospital of Skin and Venereal Diseases. Afterwards, I received a Fogarty scholarship by the National Institute of Health of the United States, in order to do a fellowship in Immunodermatology at the Dermatology Department of the New York University Medical Centre where I stayed for one and a half year. Subsequently, I was elected Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and, finally, Professor of Dermatology-Venereology (2010) in the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2009 I am Head of the First University Department of Dermatolgy-Venereology, which is located in the Hospital of Skin and Venereal Diseases of Thessaloniki.
